A new ocean view condo listing just hit the market in The Village in South Redondo Beach and it has beautiful ocean views, but the price is really going to test the current market.
Listed at $899,000 this would be the highest priced 1 bedroom condo sale in the Village of all time…..by a considerable amount.
The two previous highest condo sales (and only 1 bedrooms ever to sell over $800,000) were at 620 The Village #312 which sold for $800,000 on 8/2/22 and 630 The Village #112 which sold for $805,000 on 4/12/22. The first was a top floor unit which always sells for more and the 2nd…..well we’re not sure how or why that sold for the record as it’s a first floor condo.
This newest listing has some advantages which include the big views as mentioned, some nice upgrades, and it’s in the 640 Building which is one of two buildings with 2 levels of parking underneath making each level higher up and giving each level the equivalent height/elevation of one additional floor in the other buildings.
Having said that it’s going to be a real challenge to see this sell.
